Portraits commemorate people we love and/or admire. Standard forms are used for business purposes, but personal portraits are only limited by one's imagination. It is possible to insert your head into a historic painting, invent other characters, scenes, and backgrounds.
Portraits may show the head and shoulders only; a 3/4 view shows from the hips upward, and of course the full body can be shown.
Effective dry media which we use include graphite, charcoal, and pastels. Wet media may be oil or acrylic on canvas.
Standard executive portraits are formal and distinguished. Oil or acrylic on canvas is best.
